thats great strato, but i'd say keep away from the AVT series. you can get a real tube amp for the same price (or cheaper) and get better tone. i know i seem like a Marshall basher, but thats because for the price of the AVT/MG, you dont get alot that "classic Marshall" tone. heck you could probably find a used JCM series amp for the same price of a new AVT. i mean its your money nad you can do whatever you want to get your tone, but if your going for the classic "Paul and Marshall" sound, the AVT aint gunna cut it.

this is a XXL, not tube, but IMO, better than a AVT

so yea, i dont see the point of the AVT series. if your looking for a power amp to use your proccessor with, there are better than the AVT and are designed to power your preamp/proccessor. i mean, if you want it, great, its your money anyway. im just saying, for the money, there is better.

thats my boy. yea its funny though since i dont own a tube amp, even though i could definitly afforded one. my problem with tube amps is that all the 3 channel ones are out of my range and 2 channel ones dont have a boost switch (that i know of). so thats why i love my set up. use the clean for (duh) cleans, Metal Master on cleans for searing lead tone, distortion from amp, then the SD-1 to boost and add gain to my leads. the added boost switch on the amp lets me be heard above the mix and good for "stabbing" chords. but i love goin to GC and rockin out on the used JCM 800/900s.
